Ray-Ban, Idee, Gucci, Oakley, Prada…. YES!! You got it right. These are top sunglasses brands. I am sure all of you must be fond of sunglasses and your wardrobe must be containing one of its kinds… Aviator, cat eye, round, retro square and so on….

But these shades are not just fashion statement, they are meant to protect your eyes from harmful UV rays.

Can you imagine how much damage UV rays cause to you? It has been found that about 90% of nonmelanoma skin cancers are associated with exposure to UV radiation from sun. There are three types of UV radiations- UVA, UVB, UVC. UVB is the most harmful which cause damage to the eyes. It can be blocked by glasses. UV radiations have great potential to damage your delicate eyes. So just slip on right pair of your shades and protect your eyes from damage caused by UV rays like-

Always check the label on shades which indicates if they protect from UV or are just for fashion. Beware of false UV labels, chose goggles from renowned brand. Select one which provides 100% protection from harmful rays from sun.

Polarized lens

They reduce the harmful glare and make it easy to see in sunlight. They must be worn when near water or snow as these surfaces reflect most of light.

Blue light protection

Individuals who are sun sensitive have high risk from blue and violet portion of solar spectrum. To avoid damage caused by this amber lenses must be selected.

Lens color

Colors enhance the contrast and you chose accordingly. Buy photo chromatic lenses which change the lens color based on amount of light hitting the lens.
